ISLAMABAD – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has urged the government for extending support to the people facing losses inflicted by unseasoned rains, hailstorm and land-sliding.
According to a statement issued by the party secretariat, the PPP chairman had alerted the quarters concerned about the predicted imminent heavy rains and their negative effects on the crops and low laying areas asking them for preparedness in advance to avert losses.
He urged to extend support to the Azad Jammu and Kashmir where heavy rains caused land sliding and destruction of houses in many areas. He expressed sympathy and solidarity with the families of the people who lost their near and dear ones in the rain ravages and assured all the affected farmers and growers that his party would raise its voice at every forum for adequate compensation and relief.
