ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in National Assembly Khursheed Shah on Wednesday said that deadlock over the terms of reference (ToRs) regarding Panama leaks was not in favour of the government.
Talking to reporters here at the Parliament House, Shah reiterated that the Panama matter should be investigated, adding that the opposition will take several measures if the deadlock continues.
It may be noted that the parliamentary committee comprising six members each from the government and the opposition held its first meeting on May 25.
The committee was set up to come up with ToRs after Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali refused the federal government’s request to form a judicial commission to investigate the Panama revelations, saying it will take years to complete its proceedings with the provided TORs.
